How do I effectively use the search engine?
Try these tips and ideas...
  • If you can't seem to find the vehicles you are looking for, try less restrictive criteria (specify fewer parameters). Once you are getting a large number of results, then narrow your search by adding one parameter at a time until you are able to narrow it down.
  • When entering your search criteria, don't enter extra punctuation. It is not necessary to enter a $, period, comma, or apostrophe in the price or length fields.
  • Be sure the data you enter matches the type of data you are searching for. For example, use the zero key, not the letter "oh", in the price. They look similar to humans, but to a computer, these are very different!
  • The searches are returned sorted by Year, then Price. If you are seeing many vehicles that are older (or newer) than you want, try changing the criteria for price and year.
  • Use the drop down lists to alter your search criteria. For example, if you only want vehicles newer than 1990, your criteria on the year should read "year newer than 90". The search will actually return vehicles whose year is greater than or equal to 90.

What does the "keyword" field on the search form do?
It searches the description of the vehicle for matches to your keyword(s). This will further narrow your search results. An example would be: "microwave oven".

What does the "model" field on the search form do?
It searches for a specific model of RV. Examples would be: "Tioga" or "American Star".

What does the "vehicle id" field on the search form do?
Every vehicle listed on RVSearch has a unique identifier called a vehicle id. If you key in a vehicle id in the field, the search engine will attempt to locate a specific vehicle with that vehicle id. It will ignore every other search criteria you provide.
