The motorhome comes with a WeatherPro awning, the awning that extends and retracts at the push of a button and automatically rolls itself up when there’s too much rain or wind, and a Moving View satellite dish which can be set for either Dish or DirectTV to automatically seek out the correct satellites.

Also included is a CB and a self-illuminating doorstep that lights the entry steps when you approach in the dark. Electrical service is 30 amp with adapters for 20 and 50 amp hookups.

Hitch socket for towing a vehicle and a rear brush guard to prevent damage to the towed vehicle from thrown-up road pebbles.

The unit has a Workhorse Chassis with an 8.1 liter engine, capable of handling the most demanding hills. I can’t say much about the top speed because I don’t believe in driving a vehicle of that weight at high speeds because of greater-than-desired stopping distances. I’d rather drive to my destination than be towed to it. I was able to tow our 4000-pound tow vehicle with no difficulty.

Why are we selling? Longtime RVers (20 years), we spent 15 months in 2006 and 2007 wandering the Western states and sightseeing till our eyes were sore. Along the way, both my wife and I reached septuagenarian status and found that we lacked the energy for concentrated camping. In short, we found that camping seems more work than fun, so we’ve decided to call a halt to it. Much to our sorrow, we’re abandoning our nomadic life on the road and selling our RV.

The rig’s 30-foot length makes it very easy to handle. On top of that, it has a rear view TV built into the dash to enable you to see behind you when you’re backing onto a campsite. The lens angle is adjustable so that you can look straight down, enabling you to view directly down on your back bumper to avoid backing into a tree or stump or picnic table ... or even your backing guide. Even more useful is that fact that my wife can stand at the back of the camper and give oral directions to a microphone built into the rear camera and can be heard clearly by me in the driver’s seat. I’ve warned my wife not to get too accustomed to it because that is the ONLY occasion when I’ll do exactly what she tells me . I usually have my wife stand at the spot where I want the left rear corner of the motorhome to come to a stop, then I just aim to run her down. (I’ve never succeeded yet , but she helps me park it correctly.

The unit has two slideouts: a 6.5-foot slide in the back bedroom and a 12-foot slide in the living/dining room area up front. The miniature-size 4-foot, 11-inch living room sofa was uncomfortable, so we replaced it with a pair of comfortable armchairs. The bed, by the way, is queen size which hinges up to provide generous storage space underneath.

It has a built-in 24-inch TV and is wired for a second TV in the bedroom. The dashboard radio can be turned on from the bedroom where it can be heard over rear bedroom speakers.

The unit has a furnace which keeps the temperature comfortable and it also has a ducted air conditioner that does a fine job; we spent several months in Arizona and California to attest to that. For a little extra heat and air movement, we bought a heater and a pedestal fan, both of which are included with the deal.

A really invaluable Onan 4000 kW generator provides power for camping without electricity, When we are traveling, we often pull into a secluded parking site, extend both slide-outs, crank up the generator, and watch our favorite TV shows.

Speaking of TV, there are two ways we can receive TV. The first is with a traditional Winegard amplified rooftop antenna that can be rotated to pull in available off-air stations quite clearly. The second is with a rooftop “dome” called Winegard Moving View which automatically aims itself at the satellite for your particular TV satellite service, either Dish or Direct TV. That is the best purchase we ever made, and it works flawlessly. Also included is a stand-alone satellite dish for those times overhanging trees prevent TV reception. We simply put this dish out in the open, connect it with a length of coax (provided) and watch Jeopardy.

It also has a automatic leveling system. After you pull onto a campsite, you push a couple of buttons, wait until the jacks drop down and level the unit, and then you shut off the engine and push out the slide-outs.

I guess the best thing is that this unit comes fully equipped, that is, it contains EVERYTHING necessary for embarking on an RV trip, We’re leaving with it pots and pans, cooking utensils, spices, cooking appliances, and a host of other items which we’ve accumulated over the years we’ve been camping.
