We purchased this unit as the second owners in August of 2007 from DeHaan RV in Burlington, Wisconsin. They sold this unit to the original purchasers and serviced it for them regularly. It is a very clean and well cared for rig. Everyone asks "why are you selling it" and we struggle for the answer because we really do enjoy the time we spend using it. However, the longer we've had it the more we come to realize that we really don't have the time to use it enough to justify the investment. So, rather than store it for another winter we have decided to try and sell it. We have also decided that we don't have the time to play any games and have priced it to sell.
Here is a listing of what we feel are the highlights of this motorhome.
-Very clean, non-smoking.
-Only 20,300 miles.
-4.0 KW Generator (runs perfect).
-Air-assisted suspension.
-Steering stabilizer (makes it very easy to keep on the road).
-Firestone tires with 95% tread life remaining.
-Engine oil change 8/30/08.
-Generator oil change 8/30/08.
-30,000 BTU ducted furnace.
-13,500 BTU ducted A/C.
-Power roof vent.
-Pass-thru storage underneath.
-6 Gallon gas/electric water heater with DSI.
-13" Color TV (above cab).
-10" Color TV in bedroom.
-DVD player.
-VHS player.
-Microwave.
-Crank down stabilizer jacks (2) in rear bumper.
-New coach battery 5/2008.
-Single electric step.
-Power mirrors with defrost.
-Slide-out storage tray on outside (Very, very handy!!).
-Trailer hitch with electronic brake controller.
While there are plenty of good things to say about this unit, there is one thing of note...there are a couple of spots that have some slight delamination at the corners of a window. These spots were present when we purchased the motorhome and have not gotten worse at all. We were told that the original owners had allowed the window drains to clog up, resulting in the minor delamination but not structural damage.. Again, not a big deal but I wanted to make sure I was as up-front as possible.
This RV runs out great and the V-10 Ford has plenty of power. We pulled a 2005 Dodge Neon behind and could hardly tell it was back there. When we weren't towing we could get between 10 & 11 miles per gallon...when we were towing it dropped to between 9 & 10.
Speaking of towing the Neon...in order to help avoid having to store this for another winter we have decided to make our tow car available as well. Here is the information on the 2005 Dodge Neon SXT 4-door.
-45,000 miles
-5 speed (great for towing...not to mention over 35 miles per gallon).
-Power windows (front 2 doors).
-Power locks.
-CD player.
-Not a show car, but it is in good shape with regular oil changes and maintenance.
-We will also include a Blue Ox tow bar and safety chains along with the car (over $600 new).
WARRANTY:
We purchased a 4 year/48,000 mile service contract when we bought the motorhome in 2007. There are about 3 years and around 42,000 miles remaining. We will pay the transfer fee and the new owner will get the remaining coverage. The service contract is by Xtra Ride and covers the following systems on the motorhome:
-Engine
-Transmission
-Drive axle
-Seals & Gaskets
-Suspension
-Steering
-Air conditioning
-Heating/Cooling
-Fuel system
-Brakes
-Electrical
-High tech electronics
-Generator
-Water heater
-Waste system
-Fresh water system
-Range/Oven
-L.P. gas
-Refridgerator
-Audio/video
-Towing/road service
-Rental car
-Travel expenses
-Food spoilage
Obviously, the contract doesn't cover maintenance items like oil changes, brake pads, etc. but it does give you a great deal of coverage with only a $200 deductible per occurance. We paid over $2,000 just for this contract, but the new buyer can get it for free.
