2007 GEORGIE BOY PURSUIT SE by Coachmen
35 FOOT MOTOR HOME
MODEL 3480DS
FORD TRITON 6.8L V10, AUTOMATIC OVERDRIVE
VIN # 1F6NF53Y760A12127 Coach ID: 1TCA0116371803990 MILEAGE: 16,500 Condition: excellent CLEAN! CLEAN! CLEAN!
Current NADA: With OPTIONS, LOW RETAIL =$75,000, HIGH RETAIL = $ 90,000.
COST NEW with extras = $100,000. OUCH!! WHY BUY NEW?
FOLLOW OUR SERVICE SCHEDULE AND DRIVE THIS FOR OVER 200,000 MILES. REALLY....
What we have for you here is my much loved personal - not dealership owned - motorhome, bought brand new on 02/22/2007. First of all, my apologies to those who love to haggle because this is a fair and firm price for what you are getting. Nor is this the typical motorhome where neither the seller nor you knows much about the unit. Nor is this the typical used unit with unknown and/or questionable ownership history in need of thousands of dollars of initial repairs to give you the truly trouble free service you and your family deserve.
In short, I am looking for that intelligent person who appreciates excellent, known, prior ownership history and service, who is smart enough to let someone else take the first year depreciation hit, and who wants to just get in and drive cross country worry free in a coach where everything works and works well. You are someone who appreciates knowing the real price up front and has decided it is fair enough for a "better than new" motorhome. If you are that person, feel free to ask appropriate questions before you buy. If you are very serious and financially qualified. (I can help buyers with good credit find reasonable financing and insurance rates.) Feel free to call me at 505-670-1464.
I know that choice is idiosyncratic, but I did many, many hours of research seeking the most comfortable, liveable and convenient floorplan available in a double slide Class A and there isn't a better one out there. 2 couches make for great socializing. The bathroom has a very generous shower and "sitting area." The kitchen is well laid out with plenty of working room. There is more than enough storage inside and out for all save Amelda Marcos. Even the bed lifts up on hydraulic struts for more storage. Having both an oven AND microwave is the best! The East-West bed orientation gives you plenty of room to walk around and make it up.The little windows at the head of the bed are a great feature as is the window at the foot of the bed. Ditto the side windows in the living room slide. This coach just feels light, airy and roomier than its square footage would indicate. Lastly the almost 35 foot size is highly manueverable and allows you into State and National parks that ban longer units.
"Better than new" did I say? It might surprise you to know that even with a brand new, higher end motorhome, the average buyer goes back to a dealer with hit lists of problems an average of 3 times during the initial warranty period to get everything right. Guess what? I've already done that! None of that aggravation for you! (You might think it should be right from the factory, but they aren't and taking it in to the dealer for service is, well, taking it in to the dealer for service....) Need I say more?
"Better than new"? The engine was broken in gently with widely varying speeds for the first 1000 miles. That makes all the difference in the world on the life of that $10,000 engine!! As does the use of Mobil 1 synthetic oil since 1500 miles. Oil was changed with synthetic at 6000 mile intervals. Speeds were always limited to 60-65 mph where the drivetrain hardly works. Chassis has been lubricated 3 times. Fluids and tire pressures are checked before, after and every 2nd day during trips. Generator was serviced at 100 hours with synthetic oil. It now has approximately 197 hours. All miles were steady speed cross continental trips.
"Better than new"? The carpet and upholstery were "Scotchguarded" twice before the first trip. Rugs covered the carpets at all times. Blankets covered the couches. The original comforter and pillows were never used. Special chemicals were used in the blackwater tank before every usage. After usage, the tanks were powerflushed and rinsed. The refrigerator was disinfected and aired after each journey. We added more towel holders in the bathroom. The unit was thoroughly cleaned before and after each usage. It has already had 2 coats of high quality Carnauba wax, even though the GelCoat doesn't require that. Try that job for fun!
DIESEL? What? It's not a Diesel Pusher? Why buy a gasoline powered Class A? I'll tell you why! This unit has more HP than most diesels. Torque? Trust me there's plenty to tow what you want to tow. If you want moreHP/TQ, call Gale Banks and for $2000 you walk the diesels. And you still save how much...? As it sits, it will outaccelerate any 400 HP diesel out there from 0-65. Sorry, but the electronic speed limiter ends the fun at 85 mph!! But then, we really don't buy these to race, do we? {;>) Fuel mileage? Most diesels only get about 2 more MPG than gas engines and have you noticed the .30 - .4500 per gallon price premium of diesel over gas lately? OUCH! Do the math. And speaking of math, do you really want to pay $40,000 more for a comparable unit? Just for a diesel that will go for the 400,000 miles you'll never drive it? Or just settle for an outdated oldie diesel at this price point? NAAAH, buy this great motorhome.
No smoking of any substance in or near the coach. (No booze, either, for that matter!) Pets, yes. Our wonderful, clean, housebroken companions shared every trip. And didn't leave any of their scents.... Remember, all couches were covered.
No scratches, dings, chips, tears or stains, outside of less than normal wear - whatever that means.
You will get a full tank of propane, gasoline and water. Tires will be aired correctly. The refrigerator will be cold. Plus I will take the hours needed to: 1) show you where everything is located; 2) show you how to operate everything; 3) give you tons of maintenance tips, and 4) show you how to safely drive this rig.
Need delivery? We can talk.
We are not interested in any trades. We do not do financing. No lowball offers, please. Just one smart buyer who knows value. One who is ready for the best in class and ready to see this beautiful nation while there is still time.
And, yes, if the scripture on the back isn't your cup of tea, I'll remove it before delivery. Also, there are a couple of American flag decals on the front sides installed after the pix.
Thanks for taking a serious look at my Pursuit SE! It's ready for you when you are ready for it.
